JOB TITLE:

Executive Director of Human Resources and Administrative Operations

 

 

REQUIREMENTS:

     

     A. Education Level:

-  Master's Degree in Ed. Administration or equivalent.

     B. Certification/Licensure:

-  Nebraska Administrative and Supervisory Certificate

     C. Experience Desired:

-  Minimum of three years in Building Level Administration

     D. Other Requirements:

-  Twelve month work year.

-  Some training in the principles of Curriculum Development,  Instructional Effectiveness, Leadership Training, and Assessment.

-  Possess excellent human relations skills.

-  Knowledge of District Board policy.

-  Ability to function in a highly professional manner and

   ascribing to the AASA Code of Conduct for Administrators.

-  Possess excellent organizational skills.

-  Possess excellent communication skills.

-  Exhibit excellent leadership skills as identified by the Super-

   intendent.

-  Possess a basic understanding of employment law and the principles of personnel supervision and evaluation.

 

 

REPORTS TO:

-  Superintendent.

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

     

 

 

    Basic:

-  Work involves overseeing the elementary and secondary administration, staff, support staff, staff development activities and assessment; the operation of the Human Resources Office; and monitoring the operation of the Support Services Office directed by the Executive Director  for Support Services.

 

 

    Frequent:

1.  Carry out Board policy relating to all elementary and secondary level functions.

2.  Support the Superintendent, Board of Education and mission of the District.

3.  Participate and be productive in the training programs as determined by the Superintendent.

4.  Assist the Superintendent and the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction in proposing staff recommendations to deliver the K-12 curriculum in an efficient and effective manner.

5.  Assist the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction in providing leadership in the development of site budgets, extra-curricular activities and support service.

6.  Make recommendations to the Superintendent on Option Enrollment requests.

7.  Provide recommendations regarding any long term suspensions or expulsions.

8.  Work with the Superintendent and the Executive Director of Curriculum and Instruction in the supervision of Building Administrators and assist in the formative assessment and individual developmental plan for all K-12 principals.

9.  Hold regular meetings with the elementary and secondary principals in the planning and formulation of goals, objectives, and strategies in the fulfillment of the philosophy as supported by the Board.

10.  Assist in the planning and organization of Fall Workshop and staff development activities throughout the year.

11.  Keep current with educational literature in elementary and secondary education and participate in state and national professional organizations devoted to the improvement of secondary education.

12.  Serve as the Central Office contact for elementary and secondary level issues (i.e. administrative, certified, classified, student or parent concerns, staffing issues, etc.
